What do you do?
Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce is the largest accredited Chamber of Commerce in the UK with over 4,200 members. Based in the heart of Manchester City Centre on Deansgate, the Chamber has a strong presence in the commerce, community and culture of Greater Manchester’s ten local authority areas.
The Chamber is an independent, not-for-profit, private company and its aim is to support businesses and help create the best climate for the region to prosper. This is achieved by ensuring that those taking decisions on key issues such as transport, taxation and business regulation hear the voice of our members. Also, by providing businesses with a platform to connect, offering support and services for all types of organisations and creating opportunities for a skilled workforce.
Chamber membership gives businesses access to everything from networking events to award-winning international trade services. Members can get advice and support on key business issues including HR, health, legal matters and export documentation.
Who do you do it for?
The Chamber’s membership base ranges from sole traders to large corporates across a broad range of sectors; there is support for every type of business. Key sectors such as Manufacturing & Engineering and Property & Construction are represented by their own dedicated groups. Each local area also has a local president to ensure the region’s views are heard.
Who / what kind of businesses would you like to do more with?
Chamber membership is suitable for businesses of all shapes and sizes. Membership is open to all businesses based in any of the 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester. The Chamber also has members that are based outside of Greater Manchester but choose to join because they want to connect with our thriving network of local businesses.
