From all of us at Prevent Breast Cancer, thank you for your continued support and interest in our work. Your generosity plays a vital role in protecting future generations from breast cancer, helping us move closer to a future where no one has to hear the words ‘you have breast cancer’.

Over the years, you have supported us in so many brilliant ways; from fundraising at your events to hosting bake offs and afternoon teas across your workplaces. Together, you’ve helped raise an incredible £20,290!

It was a pleasure to welcome Cindy to our recent thank you event and to show her MPA’s name proudly displayed on our Tree of Thanks.

Thanks to supporters like you, the National Breast Imaging Academy will soon be officially opening its doors, training the next generation of breast clinicians and radiologists. You have played an incredible, meaningful part in making this milestone possible, and we are truly grateful.

What’s next: The Prevent Breast Cancer Research Unit

Our mission doesn’t stop here. Our ultimate goal is to prevent every breast cancer, and we’re excited to share our next major step toward that vision.

We are developing the Prevent Breast Cancer Research Unit, a virtual hub that will unite Manchester’s world‑class scientists, clinicians and data infrastructure. Using data from more than 85,000 women collected over 30 years, the Unit will drive new research into screening, lifestyle interventions and risk prediction. It will also support the next generation of researchers through PhDs and post‑doctoral opportunities.

This is a transformative moment for prevention research, and we’re proud to be leading it from Manchester.

On behalf of everyone at Prevent Breast Cancer, thank you for helping us take another step toward a future free from breast cancer. Together, we can save lives.
