Celebrating a growing partnership: MPA and We Love MCR Charity

We are proud to celebrate the ongoing and ever-strengthening partnership between the MPA and We Love MCR Charity – a collaboration that continues to deliver real, tangible impact for people and communities across Manchester.

Since the MPA announced We Love MCR as their charity partner, we have been on the front-foot in recognising the charity’s mission to improve the lives of Mancunians and empower the next generation to thrive. Our commitment to “putting back into our community and supporting those that need our help right here in our great City” perfectly aligns with the charity’s ambition to build a stronger, fairer, more hopeful Manchester.

MPA members have made had incredible impact so far

Members have already raised almost £10,000, thanks to a brilliant range of fundraising events,  including the annual Charity Golf Day, the popular MPA Christmas Party, and several other initiatives that bring together Manchester’s creative, digital, and media industries for a shared purpose.

We’ve also seen MPA Next Gen take up the baton and run for We Love MCR Charity in the Great Manchester Run 10k and the Manchester Marathon.

Every pound raised by the MPA directly fuels the charity’s core programmes:

  • Manchester’s Rising Stars Fund – removing barriers for talented young Mancunians to pursue education, training, entrepreneurship, and life‑changing opportunities.
  • Stronger Communities Fund – backing grassroots projects that make neighbourhoods safer, stronger, and more connected.

The enthusiasm, generosity, and proactive spirit of the MPA shows what’s possible when Manchester’s creative community gets behind a cause that represents the heart of our city.

Looking ahead: Exciting events for 2026

“The success of our collaboration with the MPA is a testament to what happens when Manchester’s creative community comes together with purpose. What began as a charity partnership has quickly grown into an integrated and genuinely energising relationship, with MPA members actively contributing to improving the lives of Mancunians through their proactive approach to events and fundraising.

The passion, generosity and commitment shown by the MPA over the last 2 years – from established events like the Charity Golf Day and the MPA Christmas Party to exciting new additions like the Comedy Night — is helping us expand opportunities for young people and strengthen communities across our city.

We’re proud of everything we’ve achieved together so far, and even more excited about what’s ahead. The MPA is becoming an invaluable part of our mission, and together we’re building a partnership that will create lasting impact for Manchester.”

Simon Wright, Head of Charity, We Love MCR

We hope MPA members will continue to engage with the charity this year and where opportunities can be forged, more businesses may wish to directly get further involved with the charity.

Together, we’re building a partnership that will continue transforming lives across Manchester for years to come.
