The MPA, with an amazing group of volunteers, have launched the date for the first ever netball tournament in aid of Manchester charity Prevent Breast Cancer.

After a few attempts to get the event off the ground, thwarted by the pandemic but spurred on by MPA member interest and support, a date has been set for a winner takes all round robin tournament at the Sugden Sports Centre on 30th March.

Whether you’re a GA ninja or an absolute beginner, it promises to be fun, friendly and for a great cause. It’s all-in, so every gender, age, size and level are welcome.

Teams are to be made up of at least 7, ideally 9 or 10 to allow for substitutes, either from the company you work for or from a broader group of friends, contacts, other agencies, it really doesn’t matter. Then you just need a killer team name and a splash of pink as part of your team kit!

Manchester based PBC is the only UK breast cancer charity funding ground-breaking research solely aimed at preventing the disease for future generations.

The cost per team is £150 + VAT and you can book your place through the MPA website here.

Can’t play? The MPA are also looking for volunteers as experienced umpires, timekeepers and first aiders, so contact cindy@mpa.org.uk if you can help out.

To raise as much as they can for Prevent Breast Cancer, the team are also looking for sponsors. You will have your company name and logo on all communications including social media, starting at £250 + VAT. Please email cindy@mpa.org.uk to discuss further.

The MPA event calendar is filling up for 2023. You can find information on all their events at www.mpa.org.uk/events and sign up to be the first to receive information when tickets go on sale by scrolling to the bottom of the events page.
