The MPA are committed to the development of best practice and standards in all disciplines of Creative Communications. Joining forces with SkillSet we would ask our members would you like to help develop the definitive list of best practice skills and knowledge for the industry?
Skillset is creating brand new Standards for the advertising sector and they want to know what our members think?
In order to gain this insight Skilset will be holding a series of focus groups in February 2012 to collect information on what skills and knowledge are needed to work in the advertising sector.
Each focus group will see advertising professionals sharing best practice and discussing their roles and experiences with their peers. Critically, it will enable us to get the views of people from across the industry on how they do their jobs.
The MPA encourage your participation as your input really is invaluable and will help to shape the National Standards for Advertising. The Standards will be used to underpin the development of a Higher Level Apprenticeship for Advertising and will be used to support other areas such as the development of job descriptions, appraisal schemes, training needs analysis and other skills development tools.
Focus groups dates:
- London - 3 February, 10am - 12pm
- Manchester - 6 February, 11am - 1pm
- Belfast - 9 February, 10am - 12pm
- Cardiff - 7 February, 11am - 1pm
- Glasgow - 8 February, 1pm - 3pm
We anticipate the events will be very popular and spaces are limited so please register to ensure you have your say.
