MPA Big Debate: 'Social or Anti-Social Media?' *SOLD OUT*
Date:22/03/2018
Starts:18:00
Ends:19:30
Location:Neo, Charlotte Street, Manchester M1 4ET
The next in the highly successful MPA Big Debate series throws the issue of Social Media under the spot light. Fake news, fake numbers, Kylie Jenner Tweets - we’re all over it in this one.

Bringing together representatives from Media, Creative, Digital, PR and Social specialists, this will be a chance to debate a wide range of issues – from the effect of fake news on brand reputation, to who should own the clients’ social content agenda.

We’ll also be sharing real news and real numbers; looking at some social success stories delivered by Manchester agencies over the last 12 months.

To help develop the debate, we have some true social advocates from across our sector, to share some of their case studies and discuss how effective they have been and why. We’ll also put a number of challenging questions to them... and our audience... so that we end the session more informed, and hopefully more than a little inspired to go off and create some amazing, commercially successful campaigns for ourselves.

Our panel:

Laura Weightman, Head of Social at multi-award winning Tangerine. Laura works with an award-winning team, scooping up over eight national social media awards in 2018, through the delivery of impactful, results driven campaigns for clients such as Iceland Foods, M&S Bank, The Range, Pizza Hut Restaurants and Ideal Standard. Laura has over ten year’s experience working for integrated creative agencies, across a diverse range of sectors, but her true passion lies in building brands. Having worked with some of the world’s leading brands, including Nestle, Mastercard and Aviva she believes that in an increasingly ‘social world’ the role of Social Media, should not be underestimated.
