MPA Big Debate - 'Agency of the Future'

MPA Big Debate - 'Agency of the Future'
Location:Neo, Charlotte Street, Manchester M1 4ET
Integrated, Omni-channel, Hyper-specialist, Independent, Network - with an ever-evolving market for media, digital and creative services, what does the Agency of the Future really look like?

At the next MPA Big Debate, we’ll be aiming to help you develop your own agency growth plans by bringing together an exciting array of industry leaders to explore and dissect different agency models and theories.

What’s the state of independence?

Is big beautiful?

How should agencies adapt to the inexorable rise of in-housing?

We are facing some pretty seismic questions as brands get to grips with an over-whelming volume of data, an ever-expanding channel mix and static or falling budgets. Will consultancy and creativity become a premium ... or a commodity?

Our first two panellists to join the debate are:

Trevor Cairns - CEO of award-winning creative agency, LOVE, based in the heart of Manchester.

LOVE has an outstanding track record in solving major business challenges for global brands. Recent LOVE brands include BrewDog, Häagen-Dazs, Penfolds, Conde Nast, Umbro, LVMH and Haig Club.

Trevor joined LOVE in 2013, having previously held a number of senior marketing and general management leadership roles at Nike Inc. spanning a thirteen year period. From 2008 to 2012 he was the Chief Marketing Officer at Nike Affiliate brand, Umbro and was a long standing LOVE client.

Trevor is now focused on leading the strategic and commercial development of the agency, including the recently announced “creative for equity" partnership launched with BrewDog with the agency taking an equity stake in the BrewDog business in return for design work across it’s spirits portfolio.

Jessica Scott - Co-Founder of LOVE SUGAR SCIENCE.

Jessica is a creative leader driving clients, colleagues and brands to rethink what they can achieve with a little imagination and an abundance of positive energy.

Across roles at GCAP, ITV & most recently The StoryLAB, Jessica has consistently proven been a force for creative commercial change winning several national level awards in the process.

Career highlights include restructuring the commercial offering of ITV News to significant revenue and reputational impact, delivering a C4 Christmas special commission of Secret Life of 5 Year Olds “On Holiday” for Thomas Cook and first of their kind broadcaster collaborations for Simply Be and Visit Scotland.

Now Co-Founder of brand new Creative Media and Communications Agency LOVE SUGAR SCIENCE, focused exclusively on generating and delivering ideas that punch to the heart of popular culture, creating fame for their clients and driving meaningful business change.

Hosted once again by Christian James, MD of The IF Agency and MPA Chair, The Big Debate series is always a full house (maybe it’s the free wine?). Being such an important topic that’ll no doubt throw up some amazing revelations, we expect this one to be extremely popular so please book early.

Come and have your say in the next MPA Big Debate at 6pm on Wednesday 24th April at our sponsor Bruntwood’s NEO building in Manchester.
