Following last year's second Manchester Creative Business Forum, a high-end networking event for business owners, directors and senior managers from the city’s creative, media, digital and broadcasting sectors, this year's Forum will take place on Monday 6 June. This year's three industry speakers are Cat Lewis, Sue Little and Liane Grimshaw.
The Forum, which is once again being held at The Hive on Lever St in the Northern Quarter, provides a valuable platform for discussion and debate around how best to successfully grow and develop your business in these challenging times.
Our three leading industry speakers will be offering and sharing some of their insight and expertise, sprinkled no doubt with a dash of humour...
As with our other creative business forums, there will also be a presentation delivered by Simon Caunt, Deputy Agent for the North West at the Bank of England, on the state of the economy and its future prospects and examining the implications for the region's creative industries companies.
The Forum is supported by accountancy firm Crowe Clark Whitehill which has a dedicated media services department and the independent recruitment specialists Orchard.
Our three top industry speakers are: Sue Little, Cat Lewis and Liane Grimshaw, respectively chief executive McCann Manchester, managing director of the award-winning production indie Nine Lives Media and the former managing director of Amaze.
The event will begin with presentations by Sue, Liane and Cat, focusing on their experiences and the lessons they’ve learned, growing and developing their businesses. There will then be four roundtable discussions with the following discussion points:
• Intellectual Property/Legal
• Strategy • Finance and Staff
• Training & Development.
After the roundtables, the Simon Caunt will deliver his presentation on the economy and the afternoon will close with a Q&A session, with a chaired panel debate.
