GILLIAN CARTER – Editor of BBC Good Food.
Gillian has been the Editor of BBC Good Food for seven years, and has taken the title from a market-leading magazine to a multi-platform brand. Under Gillian's leadership the 21 year-old title has seen its highest-ever circulation and it is now available on iPad as well as having the UK's biggest and best food website bbcgoodfood.com. In 2010 Good Food won PPA Consumer Media Brand of the Year.
Gillian worked in the women's interest and weekend supplement markets before coming to Good Food as Deputy Editor in 2003.
LUCIE CAVE – Executive Editor of Heat
Lucie started her career on the youth channel Trouble as a roving reporter, presenter and much more. Her background in journalism then led to a return to writing and she was snapped up by Heat Magazine where she’s worked her way up from Deputy News Editor, through to Features Editor and Executive Editor. Alongside her magazine duties Lucie has become a popular media pundit and a regular face on many popular TV shows as both a commentator and host. She also presents a weekly three hour entertainment show every Saturday on Heat Radio and has written several books including ghost-writing the number one bestseller Jade Goody: My Autobiography.
SAM BAKER – Editor in Chief of Red
Sam has edited some of the UK’s biggest magazine. After successfully re-launching teenage magazine just seventeen as J-17, she edited Minx then spent five years as editor of Company. She was editor of Cosmopolitan UK and is now editor- in-chief of Red. Sam is also bestselling novelist. Her fourth novel, To My Best Friends was published in May.
JO ELVIN - Editor of Glamour
Australian-born Jo Elvin headed to London in 1992 with very little money, a very short CV and very big aspirations. She first landed a job as deputy editor on TV HITS magazine, before moving on to become launch editor of Sugar. In 1997 she launched the young women’s title B and in 1999 she was appointed editor of New Woman. Then In 2001, Conde Nast asked her to launch GLAMOUR which, as everyone knows, sent shockwaves through the women’s market with its revolutionary format. Nine years on, it is well established as the market leader.
In her 16 years of working in British magazines, Jo has won a fistful of awards for GLAMOUR and other titles she has worked on, including the coveted BSME award for Editor’s Editor of the Year
