CityCo would like to invite MPA members to attend our CityConversation event…

CityConversations focus in depth on one sector of the city's economy, or one issue facing the businesses of the city centre.  For our Autumn meeting, we look at the major developments taking place in the media and digital sectors.  How will they re-shape the economy of the city and region over the next decade?  How should businesses in the city respond?  What are the opportunities, and what are the challenges?

We are delighted to introduce our three speakers:

Peter leads the BBC's most advanced broadcasting centre, at MediaCityUK in Salford.  Peter has previously served as Producer, Creator, Controller, Director, & Chief Creative Officer; at the BBC, Granada and Channel 4.

Sue Woodward OBE - Director, The Sharp Project:

Director of East Manchester's dynamic new hub for the creative industries, Sue previously held the position of Managing Director of ITV Granada, wrote the creative bid for Liverpool's European Capital of Culture, and served as Creative Director for the Commonwealth Games in 2002.

Lou Cordwell – CEO, magneticNorth:

Founder of internationally renowned design business & brand - magneticNorth - Lou has amassed a multi-award winning portfolio of work and a blue chip client list.  Lou was voted 'Manchester Young Director of the Year' (IoD), 'Digital Entrepreneur' and 'Female Entrepreneur of the Year' by Entrepreneur magazine.

The event will be chaired by Rowena Burns, Chair of Cityco and Chief Operating Officer, Bruntwood.  Following presentations, a Q&A session will allow guests an opportunity to pose questions to the panel.
