CING is absolutely delighted to welcome Dawn Gibbins MBE to bring her unique mix of effervescent energy, boundless enthusiasm, and commercial acumen to the next CING Lecture on November 7th.

Dawn starred in Channel 4’s “Secret Millionaire” after spending 26 years nurturing her commercial and industrial flooring business from an SME based in South Cheshire to having 30 offices and 12 manufacturing sites worldwide.

It is her combination of clarity and ethical business practices that are the keys to Dawn’s success, the secrets of which she will be sharing with us during her lecture.

Through her illustrious career, Dawn has picked up a raft of awards including an Honorary

Dawn GibbinsDawn Gibbins MBE

Not many people have the energy to develop a start-up business and build it into an international company – with a multi-million pound turnover and offices touching all corners of the globe – but for the woman never knowingly seen in grey, business became her passion.  Dawn started Flowcrete in 1982 in South Cheshire, with her late father, Peter Gibbins, after teenage years spent travelling across France picking fruit and working in a garden centre closer to home in Cheshire.

She oversaw Flowcrete’s growth to become a global market leader in commercial and industrial flooring with 30 offices worldwide and 12 manufacturing sites of excellence in the UK, Asia, Sweden, Belgium, South Africa, US and Brazil. The company, which was sold to New York Stock Exchange listed company RPM in April 2008 has a client list which includes world class names such as Bentley, Jaguar, Ascot Racecourse and Marks and Spencer.

Dawn’s passion for ‘finding the corporate soul’ and its role in business success is well known. During 2011 she has been invited to share her business/ethics philosophy at Manchester Business School and with a select group at the House of Commons. She is a founder member of Vince Cable’s Government’s Entrepreneur’s Forum.
