Alex Connock is co founder and CEO of TV & Education producer Ten Alps, with offices in London, Manchester and Singapore. Ten Alps makes programmes for the BBC, Channel 4 and other broadcasters, plus education content for a wide range of corporates. The group includes companies such as Films of Record, Blakeway and DBDA - and the forthcoming MediaCityUK-based TV formats venture, Pretend.
Alex has been several times shortlisted as Entrepreneur of the year, is a NESTA mentor to start up media companies, sits on the board of the Edinburgh TV Festival, and is Chairman of the Royal Television Society in the North West. His career before Ten Alps includes work at the BBC, Granada and Planet 24. He went to Manchester Grammar School before St John's College Oxford, Columbia University and INSEAD.
