The MPA are pleased to let our members know that the The Big Chip digital industry awards has issued its annual call for entries - open to digital work of all types from across the North of England. The closing date is 5th March.

There are 17 categories for companies, freelancers and organisations producing digital work - technical, creative, media and marketing. They include Best E-business Project, Best Not-for-profit Project, Best Application of Technology, Best Use of Visual Design as well as Best Freelancer/MicroEnterprise and Best Newcomer. One category - Big Chip International Award for Innovation is open to anyone, anywhere. The Little Chip Student Award is open to student work from colleges and universities anywhere in the North.

Previous winners of Big Chip have included digital agencies, software developers, hosting providers, animation specialists, games developers and publishers. Companies small and large along with not-for-profits, freelancers and public sector bodies. Many businesses that have been shortlisted or won awards have seen a direct impact on their sales.
